Greenase Biosynthesis Ltd. (Xiamen) [天演益合(厦门)生物技术有限公司 in Chinese] was founded in November 2015 by Dr. Ruming Chen (PhD，Cambridge 2004), who now serves as its Chief Executive Officer.  This biotech startup is located in Biomed Bay, Haicang, Xiamen, one of the most beautiful seaside city in South-eastern China and nick-named Amoy, which is better known to the Western. Our company is devoted to the biosynthesis of macromolecules and cellular metabolites, which are beneficial to our health and daily use. For this purpose, our company has a modern research laboratory in Molecular Biology and Protein Science, as well as a GMP-standard production unit.  Our scientists comprehensively use our knowledge in protein biochemistry, structural biology, cellular metabolism and chemical biology, together with protein engineering and gene engineering, to deliberately modify the relevant metabolic pathways in prokaryotic or eukaryotic cells. The application of directed-evolution of key enzymes in biosynthesis, combined with the high-level production capability of "cell factory", helps to improve the high-level production of  recombinant proteins, bioactive-peptides and organic compounds in transgenic cells. Our company is well equipped with several automatic cell bioreactors for high-density fermentation at different scales.  Two preparative HPLC and protein purification system enable us to purify hundred grams of proteins or peptide in a single batch. Other instruments also include a preparative vacuum-freeze dryer, high-speed refrigerated centrifuges, large-volume cell centrifuges, high-pressure cell emulsifiers,  ultracold freezers, analytical HPLC, DNA and protein analysis instruments.
